Hands-Free Open On Approach activates the power liftgate with the touch of a button, either opening or closing it to “make accessing the rear cargo space quite simple,” according to Lincoln’s description of the feature. The key fob must be within three feet of the vehicle for the feature to work, and it must be activated using the infotainment system touchscreen. Before the liftgate opens, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator will flash its taillamps and produce an audible beep.
Beyond the aforementioned feature, the long list of 2025 Aviator updates includes the loss of seven exterior colors that were previously offered on the 2024 model year Aviator, replacing them with five new ones as Ford Authority previously covered: Cenote Green Bright Colorant Clearcoat Paint, Whisper Blue Metallic Clearcoat, Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Harbor Gray Clearcoat Paint, and Crystal White Metallic Clearcoat Paint.
The luxury crossover also loses the Enhanced Security Package, while for the first time, the Jet Appearance Package is offered on the base Premiere trim.
The refreshed 2025 Aviator is quite a bit more expensive than its 2024 model year counterpart. Not accounting for destination freight charges (DFC), the base Premiere trim is priced at $58,495 to start, up $5,155 from 2024.
